I hear a "clicking" "knocking" sound when I turn what is that?

That sound is a defective CV (constant velosity) front wheel drive axle which has bad bearings most often due to a split or torn boot on the outer end close to the wheel, due to the split boot ,dirt and debri has been allowed to enter and wear on themachined ball bearings within the CV Joint replacement of the point assembly or the entire CV Axle is necessary to correct this problem.
